Asslamo Aleikum,
We all know that Original Masdar and Al-Masdar Al-Moawwal can be inter-changed with each other as and when required in different circumstances. Following are example sentences from page 18 in Book 2/3 handouts. First Sentence using Original Masdar: اريد الخروج Second Sentence using Al-Masdar Al-Moawwal: اريد ان أَخْرُج Please note, in first sentence الخروج is from base verb خرج of FORM 1. And in second sentence, mudari-mansub أَخْرُج is also from same verb خرج of FORM 1. Now please consider - Book 3 - Lesson 5 - Page 50 - Line 1 Origianal Masdar being used there فعال) شراء) is from base verb شرى which is FORM 1. When changing the above Original Masdar to Al-Masdar-Al-Moawwal - then why don't we use mudari-mansub of FORM 1 (i.e. أَشْرِيَ) and why we bring of FORM 8 أَشْتَرِيَ as done by Brother Asif (May Allah bless him) in MAV_BK3_DVD04_PARTB2 at 42:00?

السلام عليكم
First up, i am not knowledgeable. I just looked up in the places where i could find something and here is what i found. I suggest you study them yourself before coming to a conclusion: The Hans Wehr Dictionary says: شرى = to sell; to buy (s.th.) اشترى = to buy; to sell (s.th.) and اشتراء = شراء = purchase, buy(ing) بارك الله فيك Last edited by amir2005i; 06-18-2012 at 01:26 PM. |

Wa Salaam Brother,
Many thanks for reply, information from any source is not always reliable unless a Muslim Scholar is in charge there, hence it's not allowed to share links, so you may please wish to remove the links. Perhaps I should have mentioned earlier that I consulted Hans Wehr Dictionary before initiating the thread and found meanings for both forms same. So I developed a perception that when meanings are same in two forms then we have option to switch, but thought to discuss.
