As salamu alaikum,
Can someone analyse this sentence from madina book 2 handout page 19. Ma'ŕ man tureedu an talŕba?-with who do you want to play? I'll give it a try: Verbal sentence Ma'á: zarf makan mudaf Man: ismu istifham, ism majroor Ma'á man: mutalliq bil feel Tureedu: feel, fa'il mezoof takdeeru anta An talába: masdar muawwal fi mahalli nasb mafool bihi Is it possible to reconstruct this sentence and say: Tureedu an talába ma'ŕ man If not why? Jazakallah khair |

Salâmou'aleikoum wa rahmatoullâh wa barakâtouh,
Some precisions: Quote:
Quote:
(1) ma3a : muta3lliq bil fi3l, or (2) ma3a man: muta3lliq bil fi3l (as your wrote) I would personally say that the option (1) is correct (that is, only the Dharf is muta3alliq bil fi3l). I can give your more detail for the whys, but as we haven't studied this in Medina book with Usted Assif, I won't. Anyway, if Usted Assif did not mention this part of the analysis, it's because it does not matter in our stage of learning. Otherwise, the i3râb is correct .As for: Quote:
No, it is not permissible. Indeed, the thing asked (المسؤول عنه) has to start the sentence in an interrogative form (as we have been taught in book 2). Wa Allahou a3lam
