Question Is it really necessary to write with vowels?

I want to know if it's really necessary to write with all the vowels when writing because I've always been writing like that and it consumes very much time.

I write like that because I think I'd forget which vowel is to be on which letter if I don't write it.

I think most Arabic books dont have harakats except books for beginner and kids.

As a student or Arabic I'm slowly shedding off the harakats except for the words which is troublesome for me ..

Yeah that's exactly what I've started to do and it's easy now and helps a lot.
It's just that I can't write fast, I saw some Arab people write in a cursive font and it's super fast (compared to the speed I can write) but I couldn't seem to find a way to know how to write like that. If you or anyone can tell me how to write Arabic in a fast cursive font or any easy fast font then I'd be very thankful.

If you are in early learning stage then you should take time and write it with vowels properly; If it takes time then really its not a problem as far as you are learning positively; of course if you know - later on - then don't need to write harakats.
For example; I used to write everything with harakats but now I don't need them except for few words. It depends on understanding.
As far as writing it fast, it comes with practice. for special writing you may follow 'arabic calligraphy for beginners'
