Default B3 l13 - أنْ الْمَصْدَرِيَّةُ

In regards to posting:
http://www.lqtoronto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1825
This is the input from Shayk:

This is أنْ الْمَصْدَرِيَّةُ which follows both the muDaari" as well as the maaDii, e.g.:
يَسُرُّنِي أنْ أراكَ بعدَ سَنَواتٍ.
It pleases me to see you after many years.
سَاءَنِي أنْ خَرَجْتَ مِنَ الفَصْلِ بِدُونِ اسْتِئْذَانٍ.
It pained me that you left the class without taking permission.
سَبَقَ أنْ دَرَسْتَ means سَبَقَتْ دِرَاسَتُكَ (your study of laa al-naahiyatu has already taken place).
Here the maSdar mu'awwal
أَنْ دَرَسْتَ is the faa"il of سَبَقَ.
Hope this has helped you to understand the problem.
Wassalam,
abdur rahim
