Default Madinah Book 1

assalamualaikum,

In the Handout of Book 1 on page 10 there are Harf Jar preposition, this Harf Jar is joined with an attached pronoun. In the case of min attached to hu, it became minhu. As per Br. Asif Meherali, when the pronoun joins preposition we get Jaroon Majronun. But, on page 10 of the book 1 hand book why is it became minhu, why not minhe with a kasra at the end.

I will be waiting for the reply.
Thank You.

Wa'alaikumusSalam.

Arabic nouns can be of two types - Mu'rab (declinable) and Mabni' (fixed). For example: Kitaab is mu'rab. So it can be kitaabun, kitaaban or kitaabin. But many small words like haadha, Hua etc. are fixed. They don't change their appearance.

The attached pronoun "HU" is also fixed. So it will remain same in mansub or majrur.

Sometimes "hu" is changed to "hi" only for phonetic reason (example: 'Alaihi).
