Default 2 Year Madinah Course

SA,

Firstly, I had no idea that what we are studying is actually part of a larger course, only after I browsed this forum for a while did I realize that we have access to even more material.
Had I known about all this material earlier I would have taken more advantage of it all, so, as a relatively new student to this course, I think it would be a good idea to either make a sticky about this or make a mention of this on the LQ toronto website so that new students are aware of all the material they have access to.
Unless I am mistaken, Ustadh Asif starts making references to the website about 1/4 of the way through book 2 and I think it would benefit the new students if they are aware of these materials right from the start (at least I wish I was aware of these other materials earlier on).

By this I am referring to the 3 pdf books posted by أبو سليمان scattered in this thread: http://www.lqtoronto.com/forums/showthread.php?t=568
And of course this website: http://iqra.mediu.edu.my/eBooks/index.htm

My questions are regarding the website (opens in windows explorer only and you need to download something to make the audio work - well worth it), when you click on a text the person reads it out, is there anyway of getting what he reads out on audio files so I can listen to them whilst reading the books without having to always be on the computer ?

When I click on the "writing Arabic" lesson the black screen on which I assume they show us how to write the letters/words doesn't work for me. Is there something that I must download before that works just like I had to download something for the audio to work ?

As for the book, are the pdf books that I mentioned in the above link to another thread available in book form, if so where can I buy them ?

JZK

Brother,

Please send me a private message - and I will help you out.

But may I please draw your attention to the fact, Administrators have been asking since long that we should avoid posting links.

So it's our social responsibility to maintain the forum décor by respecting its rules/policies.

Let's try raising the issue without posting URLs and Insha Allah we will get solutions, again please send me private message and I'll provide you everything in PDF format Insha Allah.

I thought only links to external websites were not allowed, can we use links to other threads on this forum (like my first link) ? Should I remove the link to the other website ? I thought that because it was related to the same course it would be okay ?

Waalaikum Assalaam
The internal links are definitely OK.
The other link is an approved and recommended link by DR Abdur Rahim, almost all the material in that site was authored by him.
So that link is OK. But any questions regarding content of that site should NOT be posted in this forum.
If you are in doubt you can always send a PM to admin asking.
Most external link are not allowed. Madina course is self sufficient.
In regards to handouts by students of Madina Course, they will be uploaded in near future, inshaAllah.

Wassalaam

al salaamu 'aleykum warahmatullaahi wabarakatuh

As for the student studying without a teacher (ie using the DVD's provided by lqtoronto), the sheikh advices the student to make use of the complete 2 year programme LAST, after finishing the other books authored by the sheikh.

You can find a document with the recommended study path written by the sheikh himself at his blog
