Default Question: Book 1, page 54

In Book 1, page 54

ومن هذا الفَتَى الذي مَعَكَ؟
In this question Brother Asif picked up the word مَعَكَ
He said it is zarf and Mudaf Ilaihi.
I didn’t get this. I am confused.

My understanding is, مَعَكَ is (particle)مَعَ + (attached pronoun)كَ
So, when the pronoun is attached to Harf(particle), it is Jarun wa Majrurun.

How is this Zarf and Mudaf Ilaihi?

Can someone please explain me in as much as possible ass I am a beginner?

JazakAllah

bismiAllaah

All good comes from Allaah, and all praises belong to him; may he be Glorified, and Exalted.

Akh Riyaaz, you have asked a very good question once again.

(مع) means with. In Arabic grammar, it is called adverb (indicates the the place or time of the action) of time (ظرف الزمان). If a noun follows it, it will be called (مضف إليه); hence, this noun will be in the genetive case (مجرور) .

I hope the above brief explanation answers your question.

May Allaahu ta'ala guide you to master the elequent, and honoured language of the Glorious Qu'ran wa baraka Allaahu feek.

Allaah knows best.
