What is the سؤالا in the sentence?

Assalamualikum,

Could anybody please tell me if سؤالا is mansub مفعول به in the following sentence?

نريد ان نسالك سؤالا يا استاذ

Also in the following example from Book 2 lesson no. 17 in the exercise no 8 last sentence
اذهب الان الى السوق لاشتري

I am confused as I know the after ان/ ل comes verb مضارع form but the above sentence لاشتري is ماضى

why is it so? please explain.

Regarding your 1st question,
سؤالا is not a mafool bihi. It is mafool mutlaq because it is masdar of the verb coming in the sentence.

Regarding your 2nd question,
The verb is اشْتَرَى (viii), "to buy". Its mudaari will be يَشْتَري. And for first person singular its mudaari will be أَشْتَري.

In the sentence you posted. The word is لِأَشْتَرِيَ which is لام التعليل and مضارع منصوب. So the sentence is 100% correct.
