Question more than one مضارع

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

In the Hans Wehr dictionary, some verbs are shown to have more than one form of مضارع like نكح, حمق. Please explain about this and what should be their مضارع ?

جزاكم الله خيرا
والسلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته

It means that the verb comes in 2 baabs. One is from baab fataha yaftahu and other is from Daraba yaDribu.
There are some verbs which comes in two baabs. نَكَحَ is one of them. If نَكَحَ is from baab fataha, then its mudaari will be يَنْكَحُ. If its from baab Daraba then its mudaari will be يَنْكِحُ.

وعليكم السلام ورحمة الله وبركاته

Salâmou'aleikoum wa rahmatoullâh wa barakâtouh,

i think that this is due to the different well-known "dialects" that existed among the different ancient arabs tribes in the Arabian Peninsula.

And Allah knows the best.
