Default Questin about generic nouns

Assalmu Alaikum

After studying 12 chapter of book 3, Alhamdu Lillah, i felt that i needed to revise everything. while doing so, I had some doubts and i hope that the brothers on the forum can help be get a better understanding.

1. in lesson 3 there is a question like this:

في أي عام ولدت أنت يا أحمد؟

my question is what will be the case ending of the word عام

2. Lesson 4, Exercise 7, Sentence 8 is the following sentence:
هذا بَيضٌ مسلوقٌ

a. Is بَيضٌ a generic plural noun for بَيضة? Seconding i found in my hens wehr dictionary that the plural of بَيضٌ is بيوض so, in arabic, can plurals have plurals too?

b. I looked up the meaning of gereric nouns on google and found the following definition:

"a noun that does not specify either masculine or feminine gender "
source: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/generic+noun

Does this definition apply to اسم الجنس الجمعي and are there singular generic nouns in arabic?

c. if بَيضٌ is a plural, then doest the rule Kullu jama munnas apply here(هذا is the mubtada in this sentence)? or there are different rules for the treatment of generic plural nouns?

I think i sound a little confused, but i hope you can understand my doubts.

Jazakallah Khair
Assalamu Alaikum.
