i.e Does the daal of abd will have a dammah or fathah?

wa alaikumussalaam.

neither dammah nor fathah. it will have kasrah because it is mudaaf ilaih.
yaa = harf nidaa
abaa = munaadaa mansoob + mudaaf
abdi = mudaaf ilaih + mudaaf
Allaahi = mudaaf ilaih
