Wa'alaykum 'Asallam Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuh,

أَذَهَبْتُمْ إلى المستشفى لِزِيَارَةِ عَمِّكُمُ اليَوْمَ؟
Translation: Did you (all) go to the hospital (for visiting) to visit your uncle today?
"lee" is a preposition that is why the noun following it is majrur.
Little bit grammatical analysis:
lee - harf jarr
ziyaarate - ismu majrur, wa hua mudaf (notice that has no tanween)
ammi - mudaf ilayhi majrur, wa hua mudaf (notice that also has no tanween)
kum - mudafu ilayhi.

assalamu alaikum.

ya right. verb contains an action. but there is something more to it. verb also contains tense (maadi, mudaari).
ziyaaratun is neither maadi nor mudaari. so its clear that this is not a verb.

Waalaikum Assalam
It is a noun derived from a verb.
You will learn in book 2 more about it. It is called "masdar", in English grammar is called gerundium.
It is derived from the verb zara:yaziru "to visit".
